HK + Macau Trip 22-27 Jul 10

Day 1: 22 Jul 10 - Tsing Yi, Tsim Sha Shui, Jordan
Had Mac breakfast at Changi Budget Terminal before boarding the flight on Tigers to Hong Kong. Touched down at 11am, tried the famous Xu Ru Shan Mango+Coconut drinks before taking the 15mins airport express to Maritime Square at Tsing Yi for Tim Sum!
Gosh.. the tim sum are super duper yummy!! *delicious* & the people there have a cutlery washing culture before they eat. It's super cool.. Here I'm washing the cups unprofessionally. After that, I watched the couple sharing same table as us wash theirs & learnt! Haha..
After a very filling lunch, we took a cab to hotel & checked in before taking the free shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Shui. Here's the star ferry pier where alot of hong kong shows are filmed. The sky was a lil gloomy & soon it started pouring!! :(
In front of a nice building & fountain.. a policeman helped us take this photo. I'm really fascinated to see all these policemen dressed in green uniforms! *Exactly like those policemen we see in HK dramas*
Took a train to Jordan & it started pouring so we seek shelter in a Cha Can Ting & had sandwiches for tea break.
Rain stopped abit & we went out to walk around before it started pouring again & all the subways are making black announcement. Not too sure what it was so we still tried to go out onto the street. Then it started pouring heavier & the skies are all black & streets are all flooded. My slippers were all soaked so we bought a pair of wedges each & went back hotel after a horrible dinner. We were searching for roasted stuff dinner but in vain & settled for their Zi Cha which was way too salty.
Day 2: 23 Jul 10 - Mongkok, Central, The Peak, Lan Kuai Fong
Took hotel's free shuttle to Mongkok & realized we are too early for shopping! All the shops open after lunch, so we had breakfast at a cozy Cha Can Ting. I love the soupy macaroni & wanton noodles.
We loitered around before having Itamae Sushi (branch at Ion Orchard) for lunch.
Took train to Central, wanted to walk to Peak Tram station but Sis was complaining of leg pain & glumpy so we took a cab & sat down for a cup of Mocha at TCC before queuing for our Tram ride.
At the foot of the peak.. feeling happy before we saw the long queue!
Look at the number of people.. it's crazy for a weekday.. maybe because it's Friday.
Waiting for the tram & getting up was really excited because people are pushing from behind. Luckily my sis was heavy enough to help me block the people from pushing me & I managed to get up before her & found a seat by the window!
Luckily we had a seat.. because the ascend up the peak was really steep & angled. I was physically falling & the seat was the only support preventing me from falling. Cool experience.
Reached the Peak, lotsa photo taking.. Pls skip this section if you are bored because the photos aren't taken with a professional D-SLR, just my plain Canon Ixus.
Had dinner at a nice restaurant there. Price was exorbitant but ambience was great. Thankfully for the night scene which made up for the costly dinner.
After exiting from the Tram station, we saw a long queue for a public bus & to our surprise, it's an open air bus!!! Extreme madness & experience at cheap price! *happy*
Alighted at Central & saw a very pretty Coach outlet, it's really pretty right? It's my sis's 1st time stepping into a Coach shop.. Hee.. ;p
Short walk to Lan Kwai Fong, their clubs & pubs area. We went early so the clubs are playing jazzy & oldies & not so rowdy yet.
After a drink & some nice songs, took the free shuttle back to hotel again. Quite like the shuttle bus, it's clean & the exterior is cute. *Heart Panda Hotel*
Day 3: 24 Jul 10 - Lantau Island, Ngong Ping Cable Car, Great Buddha, Citygate Factory Outlet Shopping

Yum Cha at Tsing Yi Maritime Square again.. I think we went there for all our high class tim sum before going to the places of attractions. There are numerous Tim Sum restaurants there & all look nice.
Arrived at the Ngong Ping Cable Car station & there was a long queue. Bought the Crystal Cabin tix which costs HK50 more per person in order to cut the 1hr long queue! I think it's worth it.
Initially I was pretty scared because it's a long ride up the mountainous areas. Thankfully the ride was very stable & I could enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Climbing up the 260 stairs the the Great Buddha wasn't easy. *Pant*
View was fantastic & we were so near to the sky!!
On our way down, here's the HK airport. Photo of the crystal cabin floor, the sea is just below us.
Shopped non-stop at Citygate factory outlet, bought a lot of clothes & jeans from Espirit. Tabao Hui Lau Shan Mango & Pomelo Sago dessert back to hotel for supper. *grinz*
The stuff we bought.. I didn't realized I bought 5 black/dark coloured tops in total until my sis told me that I'm boring, the tops I buy are all similar. *bleahz*
Day 4: 25 Jul 10 - Macau, The Venetian
Woke up bright & early & took the free shuttle to ferry terminal before realizing we forgot to bring our passport!!! Ah!!!! Bought a 2hrs later tix & took a cab back to hotel. Settled for Tim Sum breakfast at hotel before heading to the ferry terminal again.
Reached macau around 1pm & took the free shuttle to the Venetian. It's the casino-hotel which F4 filmed in. My fav Ju Jun Biao!!!! It's a dream place I wanted to go. I forgo the Ruins of St Paul & stayed the whole afternoon there because it's simply too big to finish exploring in half a day.
To finish off the dreamland meteor garden experience, I bought 2 tickets for the gondola ride! I was smiling happily throughout the whole ride. :)
Sister said that I should take a photo dedicated to Dear, leaving a seat for him!

Took a cab to the bakery where fresh Portuguese egg tarts were made & bought 8 boxes home!!! *Egg-licious*
Took an hr ferry back to Tsim Sha Shui & settled for a nice dinner at a chinese restaurant.

Day 5: 26 Jul 10 - Maritime Square Spa, Prince Edward Ladies Street, Jordan Temple Street, Tsim Sha Shui
Had Tim Sum bunch at our hotel again before heading to Maritime Square for our Spa session.
Back to Maritime Square. Q&A health spa is a new spa outlet opened there recently but they've a few branches all over hk already. 50SGD for a spa package, did my 1st facial there & it feels really good & smooth. Was abit painful when the beautician squeeze my blackheads but after that she helped me apply all those nice smelling creams. I enjoyed the body massage session too.
More shopping after that at Tsim Sha Shui before heading for the juicy but oily roasted duck+pig+cha sao+sao rou dinner.
Ending off with some photos of the hotel room. I really like it alot. Every night I'll lie on bed snuggled up to watch TVB hong kong shows until 2am before falling asleep. Nitez......
